Buzz Light Year Cake

When we got home from Chase's Disneyland Extravaganza Birthday, we celebrated with a Buzz Light Year cake with Paul and Trisha's Family.
Chase's 3rd Birthday might go down in history as the best birthday ever.  Hopefully he'll remember it!

Chase Turns 3

At California Adventure we went to Turtle Talk with Crush.  He happened to pick Chase out of the audience and when he found out it was his birthday, he sang to him.  "Du, du, du, du, du, duuuude, du, du, du, du, du, duuuude.  Happy Hatch Day Cha, Cha, Chase!  Du, du, du, du, du, duuuuude!"  IT was so much fun!!
All the Princesses gave Chase a special greeting because it was his birthday, but he and Jackson were not too in to the Princesses.
The next day, we went to build a bear and built some bears!!  Chase's was of course "Buzz the Bear", Jackson's was "Tuffy" (with a snowboard), and Audrey's was "Coconut Cream" or "Co Co".  Then we headed to ESPN Zone and watched the BYU vs. San Diego game.
Then we headed to ESPN Zone and watched the BYU vs. San Diego State Basketball game.  There were a lot of SDSU fans, including a few actually SDSU cheerleaders that were there for a Cheerleading conf.  It was an intense game and we cheered our team on quietly, but when we won, we couldn't help but stand and sing "Rise and Shout". We got a few dirty looks, but it was all in fun!  A great end to a great trip!

World of Color

The Tower of Terror.
Two schools of thought- you either love it, or hate it. The last time we were at California Adventure back in 2004, they were just about to open but we just missed it. Blake and I went together first to test the waters for Matt and Audrey. I couldn't stop laughing the entire ride. I thought it was so much fun. Blake liked it too, so we fought over who was going to get to go again with Matt and Audrey... I won. Truthfully though, it was way better the first time because I had no idea what was going to happen.
On Friday, I ran in to some of my Young Women, Bethany and Morgan, and was able to talk them in to going on it with Blake and I. Bethany squeezed Blake's hand so hard he was in pain and she never opened her eyes once. Morgan loved it and bought the t-shirt.
Let's just say that Audrey wasn't quite as fond of it as I was.
Matt was very brave and a good sport. But was also in school number 2-
don't want to do it again.
We're in the second row, I'm holding Audrey's head while she's screaming. Before the ride, I told her it was fun and that she would be fine. I'm not sure I have her trust anymore.
Good thing Mom packed the rain ponchos, because they came in handy for the Grizzly River Rapids. Jackson pulled his poncho over his head, hunkered down in his seat and didn't poke his head out once. Blake and Audrey begged to do it again... and again.
All day long Blake kept asking for one of those Turkey legs. When it was time for dinner and we were asking what everyone wanted. Blake said, "all I want is a Turkey Leg!" So we gave him the 8 bucks and he went and bought his turkey leg.
He devoured it like a true carnivore. He did share a few bites though.
Jumping Jelly Fish! Look Ma, no hands!
To end day two, we watched THE WORLD OF COLOR!
Jackson had been asking the entire day for cotton candy. I turned him down every time, but while we were waiting for the show to start, I snuck off and got him some. We waited a long time so we could have a good spot to see the show.
It was so worth it. It was absolutely AMAZING!! It was Audrey and my favorite part of the whole trip.
We walked back to the hotel after the show ended singing and smiling. Another wonderful day.

Day Two!

We slept like rocks and now we're back and ready for more!!! Again, we were there as early as possible.
Mickey hats and all! Let us in!
Impressive... no hands on the Dumbo ride!
They begged to go on Dumbo, so we made it our first stop since the line is always long!!
Walked right on to the Carousel.
Giddy- up horsey!

California Adventure

We were told that Midway Mania was a must no matter how long the line was. So we ran to get in line as soon as it opened. We waited for a long time but were not disappointed. It was SO FUN!!! Matt creamed us all with his mad shooting skills.

The "Cannon Kids" Set is only $19.99 plus the cost of food...lots of food!

Matt isn't fond of heights and we all know it, so when we got on the Ferris wheel Chase turned to him and asked, " are you freakin' out Dad?" and then he said, "like this!" and did this funny little face.

Audrey and Jackson were cautious and stayed close but loved the view from way up high. Jackson couldn't believe that anyone would actually choose to go on the swinging ones. The Cart next to us had a kid screaming for his life inside.

No major panic attacks this time. We could see the new
Cars Land they were in the process of building.

I guess that means we'll have to come back to visit Radiator Springs:)

Jackson and Chase getting their picture with Lightning and Mater.

More Fun!

We were only able to see Woody and Jessie from a distance but Thunder Mountain was a BLAST! Literally. Jackson was so scared that those rocks were really going to fall on him.
Matt, Blake and Audrey all went on Indiana Jones while I stayed with Jackson and Chase. After going through Tarzan's Treehouse for the second time, Jackson started posing and telling me to take his picture.

They REALLY wanted to go on the big white boat! They thought that was so cool.
Both Jackson and Chase wanted Mickey Mouse ears so we went and let them pick them out at the Mad Hatter's Shop. They pretty much never came off after we bought them.
The Teacups? Really? Boy am I glad Blake and Audrey are old enough to take over at times like this. They were all giggling so hard and having so much fun and I was so happy to watch from the side:)
"It's a Small World After All..." What would Disneyland be without that song stuck in your head for an hour or two... or three? We even got to ride it twice in a row. When the ride ended, there was NO one in line so the kids begged to do it again. We didn't even get off the boat. Matt was Thrilled!
Even Matt had fun trying to find the Disney characters in each country. Hey look, it's Woody and Jessie in Arizona!!
We went back to Toon Town and had the whole place to ourselves. I guess all the kids went home to bed.
Not the Cannon's. We stayed until the very last minute.
Just playing,
and having more fun.
Chase was amazing!
Audrey playing Goofy's piano.
You have to do a GOOFY face at GOOFY'S house!

Toon Town

Audrey loved seeing Minnie Mouse... who doesn't love Minnie?
Even the boys thought Minnie's house was "cute".
Audrey soaked in everything about Minnie's house so that she could daydream about living there when she goes to La La Land!
Audrey the movie star!
Then it was over to Mickey's house!
What a cool chair Mickey has.
Playing with Mickey's stuff.
Yeah! We finally found Mickey!
"May I have your autograph please?"
Mickey got sharpie on Audrey's sweater when he signed her paper and she was so proud of that smudge of black on her sweater.
M-I-C, K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E. Mickey Mouse!!!
The kids got to see Pluto too! Then we went on Gadget's Go Coaster.
On the Roger Rabbit Ride
Playing with Explosives!
BOOM!!!
