Pinewood Derby

For Blake's final Pinewood Derby he decided to make an arrow shaped car
and call it the GRIM REAPER.
Matt and Blake worked hard polishing wheels and sanding axles.
Blake and Joseph waiting at the finish line
It's neck to neck- Blake came in second.
So Jackson loves playing with Blake's old Pinewood derby cars and he's broken all of them.  Blake told him to get his own so for Christmas, Jackson asked for a "Have-a-Derby Car".  Matt got him a kit and didn't want to leave Audrey out so he got her one too.  Matt made three different cars with each kid- Jackson was on cloud nine.  He played and slept with it for a few weeks straight- "Where's my Have-a Derby car?"

Where Have I Been?

So it's been a long time since I've blogged and I have what I think is a pretty good reason.  Three words...

Young Women's President.
So in the midst of trying to figure that out and trying to keep Chase from destroying the entire house, I keep pretty busy.  Chase is so fun right now and is in to everything.  He's even getting smart enough to use the honey bucket as a stool- He's checking out what he wants for his next meal.  Chase enjoys snacking on crayons, dishsoap, and toilet water at the moment.

Super Kids!

You know the days where your kids are just running around the house wearing bike helmets and garbage bag capes and you think nothing of- it just seems like an average everyday kind of day?  Just then it hits you.. this isn't everyday stuff, this is 3 year old stuff and they don't stay 3 forever.  So you grab the camera and try to capture him shooting the bad guys and running for cover.  Jackson literally wore this all day long- it definately was not an average day for Jackson, he was a SUPERHERO!

Blake and Audrey are still young at heart and couldn't help but play along with him.  Super Audrey and Lightening Jackson taking on the evil villain, Blakerator!
