Memorial Day Weekend
Every Memorial Day since we've moved to Tucson we get together with our friends from Surprise. This year we went to a resort in Phoenix to play and relax. The kids cooled off in the lazy river and went down the water slide too many times to count. Going to dinner is always an adventure with all those kids, but we can always laugh about it (thanks Mariners and Ruffs for a wonderful time). On Sunday we visited the Mesa temple and watched 'Legacy' at the visitors center. We also walked through the cactus garden and looked at petrified wood. Ever since Blake was little he called the Mesa temple "the temple with the swimming pool". This time Jackson wanted to go for a dip. I loved walking the grounds with my little family in tow knowing that I would have them for eternity.

Family Hike @ Honeybee Canyon
There's a little park right by our house that ever since we've moved here I've said "we need to go on a hike sometime up Honeybee canyon" Well, we've lived here for almost 5 years now, and we finally got around to doing it. I talked Matt in to going for a FHE outing and to pass off a scout requirement for Blake- I have to really multi-task now days. We saw an owls nest and some Indian writings on a rock. Lots of lizards but no snakes (Matt had us all jumpy every time we walked pass some bushes). Jackson couldn't quite make it the whole way so he got to ride on Matt's shoulders. When we finished we got Subway sandwiches and looked to see who had the most sand in their shoes.

Chase's Blessing
Chase was blessed on Sunday, May 4th by Matt. We had all his grandparents there along with Paul, Trisha, and their kids. Cindy and Chris came down from Utah with Carter (what a cutie). It was a beautiful day and a beautiful blessing. We truly feel blessed to have little Chase and even more blessed to have so much family to share in our joy.

Dutch Oven Cooking @ Catalina State Park
The boys put together some pretty tasty "cowboy food" for us in the dutch ovens. We all came to partake and hang around the campfire that didn't happen because of fire danger. So instead the kids played in the dirt. Trisha and Steph tried to take pictures of the kids playing in the dirt and Blake and Cindy played catch. Paul made many nature hikes to the latrene:) and Grandma and Grandpa C. tried to soak in all the sun and grandchildren while they were here!
