Stan Watts Honored

On March 5th, BYU honored Stan Watts (Matt's Grandpa) at halftime of the BYU Basket ball game.  Before the game we were invited to attend a special brunch to celebrate him and his '51 and '65 NIT championship teams.  All his kids spoke as well as members from the team.  It was so neat to hear their stories about such a wonderful man.  I feel so blessed that I was able to get to know him before he passed away and be a part of honoring him.
We were able to sneak Blake and Audrey in, in place of Paul and Trisha's spot.  Blake got to meet Chad Lewis and loved when Coach Dave Rose made a special appearance to speak to us.

Getting to the Marriot Center and watching the team warm up!

Little Chase sported his Cosmo hat and jersey.

My family didn't want to miss out on the fun.  My mom bought extra tickets so they could all see the half-time and game too.  They brought Jackson and Chase with them.
Sam was a good sport and even wore a blue shirt :)

BYU beat Wyoming to win the MWC Championship.  It was such a fun game to watch.  The students did an awesome flash mob dance, confetti came down and they cut down the nets.
The boys singing "Rise and Shout"!

Jimmer was in good form with forty something points that game.  (I'm sure Blake would know the exact number)  He was so fun to watch and we all quickly became part of "Jimmer mania".
Wait... we were already part of "Jimmer mania".
There is now a banner hanging in the Marriot Center with Stan Watt's name on it.  Blake wants to  carry on the name and make Grandpa proud!
